11 May 2016 - an update

We have a „rollover” update for the last three batches of maps added over the last few weeks:

From our friends in the Czech Republic, we have received approx. 120 scans of the German 1:100,000 joint editions (Einheitsblatt / Grossblatt), which helps us fill in the gap, mainly in the coverage of pre-WW2 Germany, but also in the Baltics.

From the collection of the National Library of Australia, and McMaster University, Ontario, there are some 150 sheets of the 1:100,000 British map of Yugoslavia (GSGS 4396) dated, mostly, 1943.

4 sheets of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and adjacent countries, scale 1:1,000 000, dated 1930s.

10 sheets of a US, 1:25 000 maps dated 1944 from the coast of Yugoslavia (currently south Croatia)

A British 1:100,000 map of Homolje (eastern Serbia) dated 1943.

Also from the collection of the McMaster University, there are approx. 30 sheets of the 1:250,000 British map of Yugoslavia (GSGS 4413), and from a private collection, around 30 AMS maps from the turn of this century, 1:50,000 scale, showing the territory of (former) Yugoslavia and Albania.

Also from the MacMaster University, we have added sheets of a British, WW2 copy of pre-war German Grossblatt / Einheitsblatt maps, 1:100,000 scale (GSGS 4081).

For informative purposes and to help navigate various map series, we have begun adding original index sheets to the series. These can be found at the bottom of mapster index sheets and at the bottom of map lists. As the number of map series runs in hundreds, so does a number of index sheets, so please bear with us. If there is an index sheet for a particular map series which we have not added, please contact us and we should be able to locate it.
Finally, from the collection of the Uniwersytet ÅšlÄ…ski, we have added over 100 maps in the following categories:

- Mapy topograficzne i turystyczne inne (polskie) [Polish topo and tourist maps]
- Mapy ogólne, średnio i małoskalowe (polskie) [Polish general, small-scale maps]
- Mapy topograficzne i turystyczne inne (niemieckie) [German topo and tourist maps]
- Mapy ogólne, średnio i małoskalowe (niemieckie) [German general and small-scale maps]
- Mapy ogólne, średnio i małoskalowe (niemieckie) - III Rzesza i II WŚ [German general and small-scale maps, 3rd Reich]
- Mapy topograficzne i turystyczne (czeskie/słowackie) [Czechoslovak topo and tourist maps]

Also from the same university collection, we have several sheets of the German 1:25,000 maps based on pre-war Polish maps by WIG of the same scale

Finally, from the collection of Mr Hubisz, two town plans, a resort of Szczawnica, and a plan of Wilno/Wilna.
