Several sheets of WIG 1:100,000 maps have been
added, mainly replacing poor quality, or low resolution scans. All new
sheets have been marked with green colour.
From the map archive of the Uniwersytet Adama Mickiewicza in Poznan, we
have received over 70 new scans of a WW2 German soil maps ( Bodenschäzungskarte)
in 1:25,000 scale covering the areas of Western Poland incorporated into
3rd Reich. The maps are based on Polish, German and Russian maps and fill
some gaps in detailed mapping of that area currently unavailable from the
other, main map series.
From the collection of the Library of Congress, there is a set of 14
sheets of an early 19th century map of Galicia ( Uibersichts Karte von Galizien)
in 1:390,000 scale.
Courtesy of a website stareplany.pl,
from the collection of the Archiwum Główne Akt Dawnych in Warsaw, we have
added 4 town plans of Włocławek, dated
(approximately): 1831, 1844, 1851 and 1942, plus, from a private
collection a German town plan of Pabianic e
( Stadtplan
von Pabianitz) from 1943.
