- From another "corner" of the world, an on-line collection of the
National Library of Australia, we have added an interesting set of British map series "East Turkey in Asia
from the beginning of 20th century, probably related to the
Russo-British "Great Game" for the influence in Asia at that time.
- From a private collection, there's a new, rather unappealing, but
very interesting 1:300,000 map - O49
Budweis (Ceske Budejovice). The map is a
copy of a German "Uebersichtskarte von Europa", produced, around 1942,
by a Polish Resistance (AK) cartographic cell. What's interesting, the
map was sent, possibly still in the war time, to London (it bears a
stamp, on the reverse, of Coll Drawczynski of Barnes, London.
